Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Whittier, CA

This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with an active California SLP License or CA CTC, ready to serve middle and high school students. You’ll work on-site providing essential speech and language services at a non-public school, with a focus on assessments, therapy sessions, and compensatory speech time after school hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP License or CA CTC (required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of school-based assessments and IEP processes
- Ability to manage a caseload spanning a range of disabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable delivering therapy to middle and high school students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct speech-language therapy onsite to students at a non-public school
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and adaptations in collaboration with school teams
- Offer compensatory speech services after school as needed
- Document progress, prepare required reports, and attend IEP meetings
- Foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and families to support educational outcomes
