An immediate opening is available for a full-time, contract role working predominantly with students in PreK through 3rd grade. This position centers on in-person service delivery and offers the chance to make a direct, positive impact on young learners’ communication skills and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold current West Virginia SLP certification.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children, specifically in early grade levels (PK-3).
- Strong assessment, intervention, and collaborative consultation skills.
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Must be available to provide services on site; teletherapy is not part of this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement effective, evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to individual goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to support students’ progress.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
- Provide consultation and resources to support inclusive classroom practices.
