Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Columbus, Montana
Be a key support for students’ communication needs in a school setting with a contract opportunity serving primarily K-5th grade learners. This role requires an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist comfortable providing direct and consultative services to a diverse caseload of 89 students. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to empower students and help them thrive both academically and socially.
This contract position begins immediately and runs through the end of the school year, offering up to 32 hours per week across five days. The primary focus will be on early elementary students, but the caseload includes K-12th grade. You’ll use your clinical expertise and evidence-based practice to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Active Montana SLP license required
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or equivalent credentials accepted
- Experience in pediatric settings or schools highly preferred
- Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities and documentation
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for a caseload of 89 students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain compliance with relevant regulations
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
- Document all services, progress, and communication thoroughly and promptly
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based support teams as needed
