Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Maryland SLP licensure required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience with a school-based caseload, ideally at the middle or high school level
- Understanding of various speech and language disorders affecting moderate disabilities
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, evaluations, and service delivery
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Provide consultative support and resources to educators and families
