A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to cover a full-time maternity leave assignment for the first semester at a site serving children ages 3-5. This contract position—based on a traditional 10-month school calendar—offers the opportunity to support students during their foundational years.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-5 strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40-42 sessions per week
- Confident in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Comfortable collaborating with classroom teachers, families, and other service providers
- Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome, with access to virtual supervision
- SLPAs are not utilized for this assignment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to preschool students
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders and progress in accordance with school protocols
- Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress and recommendations
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a supportive, collaborative school environment
- Maintain accurate and timely session documentation
