Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license for Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Skilled in working with K-12 students, including those with general education speech needs, mild cognitive delays, and students on the autism spectrum
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied student needs and learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 10 students per assigned site (general education, mild, and some spectrum/cognitive needs)
- Rotate between four closely situated schools, dedicating each day to one site for focused service delivery
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and implement individualized speech therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews as needed
