You'll support approximately ten students per location, offering services to general education students with speech needs, those on the autism spectrum, or students with mild cognitive challenges—no students with severe needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- School-based SLP experience is highly desirable
- Confidence working independently in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassion, flexibility, and commitment to each student’s unique needs
Your key contributions will include:
- Conducting assessments, evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing direct, evidence-based speech-language interventions to students
- Collaborating with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of interventions and outcomes
- Attending IEP meetings and contributing expertise to student support plans
- Fostering an engaging, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all learners
