School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Lansdale, Pennsylvania
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication skills in a friendly school environment! This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-8 student population near Lansdale, PA, providing speech and language services five days a week.
The caseload currently includes 30-40 students, and may fluctuate over the course of the assignment, with an assignment to either K-3 or 4-8 grade levels. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators, families, and fellow therapists in a supportive setting, all while helping students build important foundations for success in the classroom and beyond.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage caseload and schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments for assigned students
- Complete thorough and timely report writing
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in meetings including IEP and eligibility discussions
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
