Key qualifications and experience sought:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric SLP role
- Confidence in leading, mentoring, or supervising SLPAs
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills for K-12 students
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities in team-oriented settings
- State licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
In this position, you will:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in elementary and secondary settings
- Supervise and support two SLPAs, offering guidance and feedback
- Complete comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Contribute to IEP development with focused, data-driven recommendations
- Engage with teachers, staff, and families to foster effective communication strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
