Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for differing student needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational skills and familiarity with IEP processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging speech and language therapy to students as assigned
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and document progress
- Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educators and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between assigned schools as needed (itinerant position; travel compensated)
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with district and state standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment
