This contract opportunity is ideal for a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to work approximately 20 hours per week; your schedule will cover four days, giving you flexibility while engaging with a vibrant learning community.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure and ASHA certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educational teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in compliance with their IEPs
- Assess, screen, and identify communication disorders, then develop targeted treatment plans
- Participate in team meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reports
- May work across multiple school sites as needed, with paid travel time if required
- Participate in virtual or in-person meetings using the district’s preferred platforms
- Adapt to district-specific systems, with training provided as needed
