School Speech Language Pathologist - Lake Mary, Florida
Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) eager to support students across Volusia County, Florida, for the upcoming academic year. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC or a Clinical Fellow (CF) seeking quality supervision, multiple contract positions are open in various school settings, offering the chance to make a significant impact.
Multiple assignments are available, including maternity leaves, full-time school-year positions, and part-time roles at elementary, middle, and high schools. Settings include working with diverse age groups, with some opportunities specifically requiring experience with severe-profound populations and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license to practice in Florida
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows are welcome (supervision provided)
- Recent experience in school settings or pediatric populations
- Strong background in serving severe-profound disabilities and comfort with AAC systems
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring
- Support students’ communication needs through innovative, evidence-based interventions
