School Speech Language Pathologist - Sellers, South Carolina
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide vital support services to students with communication disorders in a school setting located in Sellers, SC. This contract role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and delivering therapy for students addressing a range of speech, language, voice, and fluency difficulties. The SLP will play a key role in fostering academic success by collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance students’ communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, identify, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide direct individual and group speech-language therapy services to eligible students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents/guardians, administrators, and special education staff to promote student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- South Carolina SLP License issued by the SC Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or eligibility to obtain licensure
- South Carolina Department of Education certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and the IEP process
