A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Killeen, TX, providing services across one to two sites within a school setting. This contract-to-hire position begins August 14, 2025, starting with the 2025-2026 school year, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication and learning needs.
- Provide intervention primarily through in-person sessions; teletherapy may occasionally be utilized.
- Maintain compliance with school policies, documentation standards, and state regulations.
- Support communication goals without using voice-output communication aids (VOCO) at this time.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or eligibility to start CFY.
- Experience working as a school-based SLP, preferably with K-12 populations.
- Competence in teletherapy service delivery is desirable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively within full-time hours of 37.5 per week.
Hours and Location:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week.
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Based in Killeen, TX, across one or two school sites.
