Speech Language Pathologist in Kent, WA

Take on a meaningful role supporting students' communication growth by providing speech-language pathology services in a school setting near Kent, WA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday) for the entire 26/27 school year, from August to June. The assignment will have you working onsite at both an elementary and a middle school, managing an itinerant caseload of approximately 30 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for Washington State
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) welcomed
- Experience working in school-based environments supporting diverse student needs
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other service providers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and support to students across assigned schools
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in alignment with district and state requirements
- Serve as a resource to school staff and families, consulting on communication strategies and accommodations
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
