Step into a rewarding role providing crucial speech-language support to elementary students in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, onsite opportunity covers a maternity leave assignment from mid-November through late January, focusing on a diverse group of learners, including those in resource and specialized programs for moderate disabilities.

You’ll work directly with approximately 50 students, creating individualized plans to empower them with effective communication skills. Collaboration with teachers, special educators, and families will be key as you deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions within a supportive school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Washington SLP License and ESA certification required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary students and moderate disabilities, highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP and IDEA compliance
  • Proficient with progress monitoring and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs in speech and language
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals
  • Provide direct therapy and consultation services to students in both resource and RISE programs
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth and success
