School Speech Therapist - Liberty, Missouri
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a K-12 school located in Liberty, MO, for the upcoming school year, from mid-August through the end of May. There is an option to work during the summer school session in June for those interested in extended employment.
This role involves supporting approximately 40 students with speech and language delays, including those who may use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Responsibilities include providing direct therapy services, collaborating in Response to Intervention (RtI) initiatives, conducting assessments, assisting with evaluation reports, developing and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and attending relevant meetings to ensure comprehensive student support.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:20 AM to 3:50 PM, aligning with the school schedule.
Desired qualifications and experience include:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations
- Proficiency in evaluating and treating a wide range of speech and language disorders
- Familiarity with AAC devices and RtI procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively with educators and families
