Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school district in Kansas City, Kansas for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, school-based position serving students at the elementary level across multiple campuses.
In this role, you will help students develop the functional skills needed to succeed in the classroom, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Role Responsibilities
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans to support their academic and functional performance. Responsibilities include providing direct therapy services, collaborating with teachers and special education teams, and supporting the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
You will work with students on fine motor development, sensory integration, self-regulation, and independence in school-related tasks. Additionally, you will track student progress, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively with staff and families to ensure student success.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Kansas OT license (or ability to obtain)
- NBCOT certification required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Must meet all state and district background requirements
