Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to starting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs will also be considered
- School-based SLP experience highly desirable, but open to candidates with clinical or pediatric experience
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with diverse student populations, educators, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students, addressing various communication disorders
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills using standardized tools and observational data
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by school policies and state regulations
- Consult with teachers and staff for best practices in classroom communication strategies and accommodations
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school speech-language services
