Step into a rewarding school-based role, providing Speech-Language Pathology support across two high schools and one elementary campus for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact assisting students with life skills programming, communication, and safe eating in a collaborative educational setting.
You’ll split your week between two campuses, focusing on special education support at one and fostering socialization at the other. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while also benefiting from consistent virtual and monthly in-person team collaboration. While prior experience with AAC devices and feeding/swallowing (safe eating) protocols is highly valued, training in these areas can be provided.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Knowledge or willingness to train in AAC and feeding/swallowing (safe eating)
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 33 students with diverse communication needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting students in special education and life skills programs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to high school and elementary students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with special education, paraprofessional, and assistant teams as well as families
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Support students’ functional and social communication growth
