Speech Language Pathologist in Jewett City, CT

This full-time contract opportunity is designed for a Speech-Language Pathologist who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and is passionate about working with both elementary and high school students. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week throughout the full school year and join a team dedicated to student success.
As the SLP, you will serve a diverse caseload comprised of 6 K-8 students and 27 high school students, allowing you the chance to make meaningful connections across multiple grade levels. There may also be the potential to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), providing valuable mentorship experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC certification and licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload and collaborating across grade levels
- Prior experience, or familiarity, with CTSEDS is a definite plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to potentially supervise an SLPA
Role Highlights:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders for K-12 students
- Deliver therapy individually and/or in small groups
- Develop and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document services and student progress using CTSEDS (preferred)
- Collaborate with educators, intervention teams, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Potentially provide supervision and support to an SLPA
