Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in New Jersey
- Prior experience providing SLP services in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards for school-based therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals tailored to each student's unique needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, progress, and communication logs
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school-based multidisciplinary teams
