Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid New Jersey state licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in children
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and compassionate approach to student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments for students referred for services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy in individual or small group settings
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student growth and generalization of communication skills into the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional recommendations for student support
