Pediatric Pre K Speech and Language Pathologist in Richlands, NC
A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Richlands, NC, serving an elementary school setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings; administer formal and informal assessments to diagnose communication disorders.
- Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based intervention plans tailored to individual and group student needs.
- Maintain comprehensive student records and prepare periodic reports related to speech-language services.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and school personnel to support student progress and provide consultation.
- Coordinate services between the school and community resources, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Analyze student data to assess the impact of speech-language programs on learning outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Hold or eligibility to obtain the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) license.
- Considerable knowledge of childhood speech, hearing development, and communication disorders.
- Familiarity with regulations governing school speech-language services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed student records and manage program documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, and bending.
- Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds routinely and 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to monitor student performance visually, auditorily, and physically.
- Must be able to drive to various school sites as required.
- Ability to assist in emergency evacuations when needed.
