Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Houston area. This role is ideal for passionate SLPs who want to make a real difference, working primarily in an elementary school setting. You’ll handle a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students, providing critical support and guidance to help children thrive in their academic journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CF) will also be considered
- Experience in school-based SLP settings preferred
- Comfortable supervising Clinical Fellows if holding CCC
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to elementary students
- Evaluate, develop, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of services and progress
- Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families for effective student support
- Split time between two school buildings if needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support student integration
- Provide clinical supervision to CFs if applicable
