This hybrid, onsite role offers a dynamic environment where you will engage with students across 2-3 schools while being centrally based at the district office.
As part of a district dedicated to a holistic workload model—not just caseload numbers—you’ll make a difference by providing direct therapy, case collaboration, and guidance. The position also involves overseeing an SLPA, fostering both mentorship and clinical growth.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLP
- Valid state licensure as required for school-based SLPs
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to supervise an SLPA
- Flexibility to travel between schools as needed
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services
- Maintaining thorough documentation of progress and services
- Supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participating in multidisciplinary meetings
- Supervising and mentoring an assigned SLPA
- Adhering to the district’s workload-focused approach, ensuring equitable and effective support for all students
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and fellow specialists
