School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Houston, Texas
Step into a rewarding role supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Houston, TX. This contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, working collaboratively across two engaging campuses. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll partner with another dedicated SLP to provide exceptional services and help manage caseloads—making a real difference for children in both early childhood and school-age programs.
Ideal candidates bring versatile SLP experience, including school-based and healthcare settings, and are comfortable working with pediatric populations. Teletherapy familiarity is a plus, and both CCCs and strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply. Placement involves splitting time between two friendly campuses, where you’ll benefit from supportive administrators and an enthusiastic diagnostic team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Texas SLP License (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads
- Comfortable providing services via teletherapy platforms as needed
- Collaborative mindset, flexible and positive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services, both in-person and virtually
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to support each student’s goals
- Maintain detailed progress records and meet compliance standards
- Collaborate with a fellow SLP to coordinate caseload management
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed
