Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist. Work alongside another dedicated SLP in a collaborative, student-centered environment from late October through early February, making a meaningful impact during this important part of the school year.
You’ll provide services to students in grades K-5 with a focus on individualized support and active engagement. As a case manager for six students, you’ll develop and implement effective strategies tailored to their needs, while maintaining a positive learning environment. Your caseload will include 19 students with IEPs as well as 19 students receiving targeted interventions—a total of 38 young learners whose communication skills will benefit from your expertise.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children, especially within a school or district setting.
- Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues, teachers, and families.
- Skill in managing caseloads efficiently and compassionately.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in individual and small-group settings.
- Serve as case manager for six students, overseeing IEP development and implementation.
- Complete required assessments, progress reports, and IEP documentation for a service load of 38 students.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with a full-time SLP on site.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to the 8:35am start and remain 15 minutes after the 3:35pm end of contract time to ensure thorough preparation and wrap-up.
