This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year from August through early June near beautiful Houghton Lake, Michigan. You'll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, ranging from preschoolers to high school seniors, fostering communication success and empowering young learners each day.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility for Michigan licensure)
- SLP-CCC or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome to apply
- School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical skills in all settings valued
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Passion for working with PreK-12th grade students with varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students across a varied caseload
- Conduct assessments and write thorough, actionable evaluation reports
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Track student data, maintain compliance with all documentation and timelines
- Offer consultative supports for classroom educators and families as needed
