School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Highland, Illinois
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving a 19-year-old homebound student during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This role welcomes professionals who are confident providing speech-language pathology services, either onsite or virtually (open to remote/voco options). The assignment runs from June 8th through July 28th and involves delivering skilled support for 30 minutes each week.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure as an SLP; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience supporting adolescent or young adult populations, ideally within educational settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery, or willingness to learn
- Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to a homebound student in accordance with the IEP, either virtually or in person as determined by the student's needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the goals and progress of the student
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for each session
- Communicate regularly with the student's support team, caregivers, and other relevant stakeholders
- Monitor and assess the student’s progress, adapting interventions as needed to maximize outcomes
