School-Based SLP | Lexington, North Carolina
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This assignment spans the academic year from August 2026 to June 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours weekly. You’ll be working within a supportive environment, primarily in the East or Southern area of the district.
This district values collaboration and skill, seeking Speech-Language Pathologists who are either CCC-certified or Clinical Fellows. Supervision for CFs is readily available, ensuring an excellent platform for both seasoned clinicians and those newer to the profession to make a difference. There is flexibility in caseload preferences, enabling customization to match your professional strengths and interests, with a maximum of 35 students per caseload.
Desired Qualities and Background:
- Holds (or is eligible for) a North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF; the district cannot accept SLPA applicants at present
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is preferred
- Comfortable with K-12 caseloads; specific assignments tailored following interview conversations
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy to a diverse student population with varying speech, language, and communication needs
- Conduct and interpret assessments, develop IEPs, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Offer individualized and group interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation as required by the district
