Starting this August and continuing through June, you’ll have the chance to work closely with diverse student populations and collaborate with a passionate team of education professionals.
This role offers flexibility in caseload assignment based on your strengths and preferences, with opportunities available in the eastern and southern portions of the district. As one of four SLPs needed, you’ll enjoy guidance and potential supervision (for SLP-CFs), ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for North Carolina
- ASHA CCC required for some positions; SLP-CF candidates welcomed with district-provided supervision
- Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children preferred
- Familiarity and/or experience supporting students with autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities strongly desired
- Availability for full-time hours (35-37.5 per week) during the 2026-2027 school year
- Commitment to working onsite (no SLPA candidates at this time)
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Deliver evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a caseload of up to 35 students
- Provide high-quality therapy services and instructional support to students to help maximize communication and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for integrated student care
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation as required
- Adapt to individual district needs and support a culture of inclusion and growth
