Step into a rewarding school-based Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) contract opportunity in the heart of North Carolina, supporting PreK–12 students across a diverse and welcoming district. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact from August through June, working 35–37.5 hours per week with flexibility based on your caseload preference.
Your key qualifications:
- Hold active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in North Carolina
- SLP-CCC required; Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) will also be considered with district supervision
- Please note: SLPA credentials are not being considered at this time
- School-based SLP experience preferred, especially with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities
- Passion to advocate for and collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
What the role involves:
- Providing assessment, diagnosis, and direct/indirect speech-language services for a caseload of up to 35 students
- Delivering therapy tailored to individual goals in both individual and group settings
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with IEP requirements and district policies
- Engaging in IEP meetings and communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Participating in professional development and collaborating closely with district SLP colleagues
- Flexibility to serve students across the East or Southern regions of the district based on assignment
