Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist licensure in Alabama
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Solid understanding of case management, therapy modalities, and progress documentation
- Outstanding communication and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering students’ communication abilities and supporting their personal growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students, targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines
- Conduct both individualized and group therapy sessions to accommodate diverse student needs
- Work in partnership with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement IEPs
- Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and prepare comprehensive reports
- Offer support and guidance to families and school personnel regarding strategies for generalizing skills
