A contract opportunity is available for a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students throughout the entire school year. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students in grades K-12. Ideal Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current and valid SLP license in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as well as experienced SLPs
- Consideration will also be given to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) with school or healthcare experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Experience with treatment planning, IEP documentation, and delivering services for K-12 populations
- Comfortable working in a school-based environment or providing teletherapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of about 50 students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Conduct speech/language, voice, articulation, or fluency assessments
- Develop and implement individualized goals and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
- Document student progress, maintain appropriate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt services to both in-person and virtual delivery as needed
