Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Hayward, CA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to high school and post-secondary students. This role involves collaborating with a supportive team of seven other SLPs to share a dynamic and diverse caseload. With a consistent 35-hour workweek, you’ll be instrumental in helping students achieve their communication goals and succeed academically.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with high school or post-secondary populations is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress
- Collaborate and consult with teachers, parents, and the broader multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Engage in ongoing professional development to support best practices
- Balance a shared caseload, ensuring continuity of care and support for all assigned students
