Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical skills considered
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for interaction with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive environment for learners of diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students of varying ages
- Design and execute targeted therapy sessions addressing students’ individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and parent-teacher meetings as a valued team member
- Deliver support and consultation to teachers and families to promote carryover of strategies in the classroom and at home
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
