School Speech Language Pathologist - Hampshire, Illinois
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist. You'll join the team at Jefferson Elementary, where your expertise will directly impact student growth during the first semester.
You will primarily serve one school, working with a diverse caseload and providing some additional support to the team as needed—particularly when a fellow SLP returns later in the semester. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge in a dynamic, student-focused environment with flexibility around start and end dates.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid SLP state license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of elementary-age speech and language development best practices
- Commitment to professional collaboration and student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students, developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess and document student progress
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students to support learning goals
- Collaborate with fellow SLPs and educational colleagues to coordinate therapy and student support
- Adapt to evolving caseload needs and provide assistance as the SLP team changes throughout the semester
