School Speech Language Pathologist - Lakeport, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a school setting in Lakeport, CA. This contract position runs from August through October, covering a maternity leave. The schedule is five days a week, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling approximately 7 hours of work each day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a school environment
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain detailed records efficiently
- Commitment to student-centered care and collaboration
