Speech and Language Pathologist in Hillsboro, OR
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with language needs in a dynamic school setting. Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists are needed for contract opportunities serving varied student populations. Both roles offer Monday–Friday schedules with regular day hours and unpaid lunch breaks; one role involves working across multiple sites, and candidates interested in less than full-time are welcome for that position. Telepractice and SLPA applications are not being considered for these openings.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Oregon SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Recent experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings strongly preferred
- Skills working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate inclusively
- Commitment to equity initiatives and student-centered practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening, assessment, and direct therapy for students with speech or language impairments
- Develop, implement, and oversee AAC interventions, coaching teachers and support staff on classroom integration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and submit documentation for Medicaid billing
- Facilitate communication with families, teachers, and outside agencies regarding student needs and progress
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistant staff as needed
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of services and participate in required meetings
