Position Details:
- 37.5 hours per week, with assignments in either Greenville or Greer, SC, depending on placement needs.
- One notable assignment is at a specialized self-contained facility for students aged 3-21 with profound needs. There, collaboration with a fellow SLP is encouraged, and expertise with AAC devices is essential. A compassionate, dedicated approach to working with medically fragile students and their families is highly valued.
- The district fosters professional growth through personal SLP mentorship, structured training, ample resources, and strong multi-level support systems.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP License required.
- South Carolina Educator Certification required.
- ASHA CCC-SLP strongly preferred; candidates with SLP-CF status may be considered.
- Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with AAC devices and a passion for working with students with significant needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to varying student caseloads.
- Supervision is not available for SLPAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy for students with diverse and complex needs.
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and document progress in compliance with district procedures.
