School Speech Language Pathologist - Easley, South Carolina

One position offers the chance to work at a self-contained center for students aged 3-21 who are medically fragile or profoundly impaired—an environment known for its collaborative team and strong resource network. This role is ideal for someone with experience or a genuine passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Comprehensive support is provided, including hands-on system training, personal mentoring from experienced SLPs, and a wealth of resources and materials set within a district renowned for its supportive structure.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina SLP License and SC Educator Certification (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices and willingness to work with medically fragile populations (for Washington Center placement)
- Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to building positive relationships with students and families
- New graduates with strong clinical backgrounds may be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student’s unique communication and language needs
- Conduct assessments, maintain progress documentation, and provide direct therapy services
- Consult and collaborate closely with educators, families, and other therapists
- Support student success through multi-disciplinary teamwork and active participation in IEP meetings
- Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities and system training offered by the district
These rewarding contract positions offer a full-time schedule (37.5 hrs/week) following the school year calendar, with potential pre/post planning days.
