School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Greenville, South Carolina
An exciting opportunity awaits for contract Speech-Language Pathologists interested in making a meaningful impact within a dynamic school setting. Two full-time positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year across two possible assignments in the Greenville, SC area. The anticipated school year runs from August 11th, 2026 to May 27th, 2027, with possible additional days for pre- and post-planning. Hours average 37.5 per week, ensuring a balanced, predictable schedule.
One of these assignments is located at a specialized self-contained facility for students ages 3–21 who are medically fragile and profoundly impaired. This environment offers collaboration with another SLP onsite and access to a rich support network, including mentorship, resource and material provisions, system training, and tiered SLP support. Passion for working with families and comfort with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices are essential, as is a commitment to supporting complex student needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina SLP license and SC Educator Certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; strong new graduates (SLP-CF) may be considered
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with AAC devices is a plus
- Compassionate, collaborative mindset eager to serve diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Partner closely with teachers, families, and other service providers
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
