Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Grayslake, IL
A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced or newly graduated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services to K-2 students on a part-time, contract basis. This position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting a caseload of nine students in a specialized education environment. Orientation for new hires will take place August 12th through August 14th, with anticipated start dates to follow.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Delivering targeted therapy to students in grades K-2
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff
- Maintaining detailed records and progress notes
- Participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences
Candidates with the following background are encouraged to apply:
- Active Illinois SLP license (submit a recent screenshot as proof)
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois (submit screenshot for verification)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or a strong Clinical Fellow (CF)
- Experience, or strong comfort, working in school-based settings
- Commitment to working onsite each week for approximately 7 hours
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
