Qualifications:
- Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university (official transcripts required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also considered (must hold MI temporary license)
- Full Michigan SLP licensure required for current school year; pending status with proof of application considered for next school year
- Experience with K-12 caseloads, with an understanding of the challenges faced by urban students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between district school buildings
- Familiarity with AAC systems and current best practices in SLP desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized and group therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to promote inclusive communication strategies
- Develop goals, objectives, and participate in IEP/MET meetings
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations and written reports
- Maintain thorough records and progress notes to meet compliance requirements
- Offer training and professional development for staff on speech-language best practices
- Provide support and guidance on AAC device use in school and home contexts
- Manage therapy materials, equipment, and supplies
- Additional related tasks as assigned
