We are seeking dedicated, onsite Speech Language Pathologists to join school communities in and around the Grand Blanc, Lansing, Detroit, and Flint areas on a contract basis through June 2026, with potential for renewal. These roles will work directly with students to address a broad range of speech and language needs, involving collaboration with teachers, staff, and families.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Michigan SLP license (temporary license accepted for CFYs; must provide documentation)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates will be considered (Flint location prefers a pre-established supervisor for CFY candidates)
- K-12 experience—caseload may include all age groups
- Willingness and ability to work onsite across multiple district locations as needed
- Official university transcripts (required for district review)
- Familiarity with the needs of urban learners and awareness of appropriate family or community resources (be prepared to discuss in interviews)
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy services based on student needs
- Collaborate to develop IEP goals, participate in meetings, and create measurable objectives
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, including detailed written reports
- Support integration of speech/language development into daily classroom activities
- Provide training on language development and best practices to school teams
- Maintain compliance through documentation and progress tracking
- Travel between assigned schools within the district to meet student needs
This fulfilling contract position (35 hours/week), offers a structured setting without ESY but possibility for renewal into next school year.
