As a high school SLP focused within a low-incidence program, you’ll support students with diverse learning profiles while gaining exposure to specialized educational strategies and functional communication interventions. Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience with high school-aged students (preferred)
- Comfort supporting mixed abilities/life skills populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy with emphasis on functional communication to a caseload of approximately 40 students
- Serve a smaller group needing specialized language/articulation support
- Develop and implement IEPs and track student progress
- Work collaboratively with other educators and family stakeholders
- Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings as needed
