School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Fremont, California
Exciting opportunities are available for Speech/Language Pathologists seeking a rewarding contract role supporting students’ communication needs. Multiple full-time and part-time positions are open, offering flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact in an educational setting near Fremont, CA.
Full-time roles (three available) require a commitment of 40 hours per week, spanning from November through the end of the current school year. A part-time opportunity is also available, totaling 8 hours per week with the flexibility to distribute those hours over several days during the month. Immediate start is preferred for the part-time position, which will continue through at least the end of December. Competitive compensation is offered, ranging from $60 to $70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students per IEP specifications
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain detailed and compliant records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse learning needs in a middle school environment
