Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Wisconsin SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience or passion for working with K-8 students in educational settings
- Familiarity with a range of communication disorders and developmental needs typically found within these age groups
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to individualized assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, targeting articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal regulations
- Administer thorough initial and ongoing assessments to accurately determine student needs and progress
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to support student participation and success within the general education curriculum
- Facilitate engaging therapy sessions tailored to small groups or individual students, depending on the need
- Maintain detailed documentation and timely reporting on student progress and services rendered
