Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschool students with speech and language needs for the 2026/27 academic year. This contract role runs from August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a dedicated new staff training beginning July 27, 2026. You'll work a consistent 37.5-hour week, focusing on a manageable caseload of 40-50 preschoolers, helping them build vital communication skills during their formative years.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP required)
- Prior experience in a school setting, preferably with preschool-aged children
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP process, and school-related documentation
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate interventions for young learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech/language therapy to preschool students, tailored to individual IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and contribute to eligibility decisions
- Develop clear, actionable IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to promote carryover of skills and strategies in the classroom and at home
- Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing expertise and engaging proactively with colleagues
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of progress, services, and therapy outcomes
